Sangoma has released a 4 port T1/E1/J1 card with a low profile (2U). Their press release is as follows:
TORONTO – December 6, 2004 – Sangoma Technologies Corporation (TSXV: STC) (www.sangoma.com), a leading provider of connectivity hardware and software products for WANs and Internet infrastructure, has launched its four-port A104 AFT (Advanced Flexible Telecommunication) T1/E1/J1 voice/data card.
Capable of handling both voice and data, the A104 is the latest addition to Sangoma's family of cards that currently includes the A101 single-port and A102 dual-port cards.
Like the A101 and A102 cards, the A104 has a 2U form factor (120mm x 55 mm, 4.7" x 2.2"). This 3.3v/5v PCI card supports bus-mastering, ring-buffer DMA architecture and fully shared interrupts, making it ideal for demanding environments such as the Asterisk™ Open Source PBX/IVR project.
The A104 supports full channelization of up to 124 individual DS0 timeslots, making it ideal for multi-channel data hub implementations and integration with PC-based VoIP PBX systems that can take advantage of this capability. Field upgradeable hardware programming allows for new functions to be added as they become available , as well as providing the capabilities for hardware-based ATM and SS7 MTP2 support.
“The A104 allows us to define a new price/performance standard that is unparalleled,” says Sangoma Technologies President and CEO David Mandelstam. “We see the A104 with its 2U form factor being particularly suited to use in large hub servers and the soft PBX market.”
