Russell has posted word about the GSoC 2010:

Greetings,

The Asterisk Project has been accepted for the Google Summer of Code program for 2010!

http://socghop.appspot.com/gsoc/program/accepted_orgs/google/gsoc2010

If you are interested in mentoring, there is still time to add you to the list. If you are a student interested in working with the Asterisk project, then I would encourage you to discuss your project idea proposal with us as soon as possible so that you have the highest probability of success.

Thanks and congratulations,

--
