AsteriskRef is a small app which acts as a reference guide for Asterisk applications and functions written by me.

I submitted it to the app store a few days ago, went into review yesterday, and was available on the app store today!

I really thought it would take longer!

Anyway, I've got a new version coming which I did a bit of work on last night and includes search functionality.

If you have any ideas or requests just let me know :)

I've still got another three apps which I'm finishing off a the moment before adding them.

Here's the full description for AsteriskRef:

This is a pretty simple app. Basically it's a reference source for Asterisk Applications and Functions.

Ever been sitting at a console and wanted to know the options that an application takes?

Now you can use your iPhone or iPod touch in one hand with your console in the other.

Of course seeing as the app has been developed by the Daily Asterisk News you can always post comments on additions or changes you'd like to see.

This version currently supports Asterisk 1.4 commands.

Hope it's useful for you!

Update: There's a new version available and a new news story about it :)

Heh, gimme a break, there's only so many languages I can learn in a month!

:)

Objective C was hard enough - lucky you can do C in it :D

What's the UI library for Android? GTK or something?

What a great app! 1.6 would definitely be useful...

For me there are 4 places I usually find the answer I'm looking for:
* core show application
* the doc/.txt file
* the sample .conf file
* voip-info.net

Including the doc/.txt files from the SVN trunk would be a great addition. For apps like externalivr, the txt doc is essential.

the sample conf files wouldn't be too hard to include, but it would go beyond apps and functions.
A link to the relevant voip-info page would be great, or maybe a "update voip-info" button that scrapes the site and saves the text to the corresponding app / function in the ref list.

Of course, all of this is extra credit to what you've accomplished. Even as-is, this is a valuable resource! Kudos!

Seeing as this is a non paying project, I'm only really working on it in the weekends, but this weekend I'll have a go at adding the above - agree they'd all be useful :)
