Iaxclient-devel: Branching off 2.0

Share on Twitter Digg this story Click to view a printable version Tue, 14 Aug 2007 01:17:35 -0300

Mihai has posted a note stating he will be branching off trunk in IAXClient to create a version 2.0 which will include video support.

Hi all,

I believe we're at a point where the trunk branch is relatively stable. We have a bunch of features, including but not limited to video support and autotools based build system. The code has been used in production for a few months and we have not seen any major bug reports in a while.

So I'm thinking it's about time we create a 2.0 branch. We could tag a few beta and RC releases as needed until we are satisfied that everything is fine. This would allow application developers to feel confident they are building on a solid base, thus hopefully speeding up iaxclient adoption. In addition, this would free up trunk for further development.

As usual, I would like to request your comments and suggestions.

Mihai
