VentureVoIP's Emergency Warning system is based on the technology created for the SmoothTorque
message broadcasting and predictive dialer systems for call centres. As demand grew for capacity, SmoothTorque
evolved into a system with unlimited capabilities through clustering servers. This allows it to provide emergency
notification via telephones to large numbers of people.
SmoothTorque (the dialer) is controlled via your web browser so that it is simple to upload phone
numbers and messages.
If you prefer, you can get SmoothTorque to create a list of numbers based on a pattern and then make
test calls to confirm which numbers are correct.
If you need to contact a large number of people quickly then this is the simplest option. You can
even get customers to respond using their keypad to enable you conduct polls.
If you have geographic information with your phone numbers, this can be used to plot spreads of disease
or the requirement for help in large communities.
