It combines the flexibility of advanced call routing found in today's
VoIP PABX systems with the security of multiple failover systems to
bring considerable cost savings and peace of mind.
Ranging from the Pure Edition with pure VoIP, to the Pro with Analogue
and VoIP right through to the Enterprise Edition supporting unlimited
channels. The ConduIT is based on Debian and Asterisk and were unveiled
by the Prime Minister of New Zealand in May 2007.
VentureVoIP has created a telephone system with features and stability
unseen in any existing system, whether it be VoIP or traditional telephony.
While VoIP based systems have provided the opportunity for people to
control telephone calls via the Internet, most people have followed
traditional infrastructure models.
In a normal system, telephones connect to the local telephone exchange.
With the VentureVoIP system, we had the opportunity to develop both the
CPE (Customer Premises Equipment) or PABX, as well as the telephone
exchanges themselves.
Because of this we were able to create a network where a customer is
connected to all of our exchanges at the same time. This means that
if there is a failure of one telephone exchange or a disaster in a given
area that customers can continue with business as usual.
While developing the PABX systems for customers we decided to include
connections to normal telephone lines so that in the event of Internet
failure (or substandard quality), customers do not have their business
disrupted.
These features allow customers to migrate to the call savings inherent
with VoIP without having to worry about substandard call quality. In
fact, they have more stability than what they had with traditional
telephones.
In the back end this kind of system required extensive development using
features not currently available. We wrote custom clustering technologies
(where each exchange is able to function in standalone mode and yet update
the other servers on reconnect). While there were technologies available
to perform clustering, most have machines in one location and do not take
into account the possibility that the machines will not be able to reach
each other.
Once we had developed a simple back end structure and the customer's PABX
we were able to start testing the system. Tests results showed us that we
would need to write additional software for monitoring the quality of
customer's networks. The system is now able to detect and report on any
failures and is able to send SMS messages to notify administrators of any
problems it finds.
So, by now we had a simple PABX and exchanges. Good in that they were way
more stable and secure than anything else on the market but bad in that
they didn't anywhere near match the features of existing PABXs.
This brought about the second development phase.
We added in any feature that people already had so that they would be able
to continue using their new system in the same way as their existing
systems.
Once we had provided the full feature list from all existing PABX systems
we could find we were able to start focusing on providing additional
unique features that nobody else could provide.
This process brought about features such as a virtual receptionist with
motion detecting webcam, predictive dialing built in to the system and the
ability to fully replicate a customer's system on the exchanges so that
they could continue business in the event that their premises are
destroyed.

With the VentureVoIP ConduIT3 PABX, you are able to get the benefits of
VoIP calling with a fallback to using normal lines. When you are making
calls via VoIP (i.e. your Internet is working and stable), you are able to
make significant cost savings.
We've included a list of a few key destinations below, but to see the full
list or search for a destination, go to the VentureVoIP
Exchange rate page.

Productivity Gains
One of the biggest benefits of the VentureVoIP ConduIT PABX is that you
are to greatly improve the way you do business. Not only does this mean
that you spend less time doing common tasks, but also that you will be
able to do things that weren't previously possible.
One way you can significantly save time is by using applications such as
the Asterisk
Desktop Assistant. ADA is great for call-centers, sales organizations,
or anyone who spends much of their time on the phone. Click-to-call
integration with the Firefox web browser automatically telephony enables
web based business applications. Tight integration with the Microsoft
Office suite and TAPI-enabled applications empowers Asterisk-based unified
communications.
Click to dial applications allow you so simply click on a person's details
in order to call them.
Combine multiple offices into one answering point.
If you have staff directing calls from multiple current locations across a company, you can combine all of this into one place but still allow for extra calls to go to other numbers.

Hotels
VentureVoIP has installed telephone systems at a number of hotels and
integrated with the RoomMaster billing system, although are able to look
at other systems to integrate with.
Hotel specific features include automated wake up calls, inbuilt room
billing and the ability to enable and disable individual phones.
When installing systems for hotels we change the hardware that we use
depending on the requirements for the rooms and the target cost of the
propreitor.
This ranges from 32 port Xorcom Astribanks for larger (over 100 room)
analogue extensions, to VoIP phones for specific rooms or all rooms.
VentureVoIP normally uses the Snom 360 phones for hotel reception with
custom features, busy lamps and wake up call facilities pre programmed.
The VentureVoIP ConduIT3 PABX also includes the
Flash Operator Panel
so that you can view the status of hundreds of extensions at the same
time.
The combination of cost savings and leasing options mean that systems can
work out extremely cost effective.
Small Businesses
When you purchas a telephone system for a small business you are normally
restricted to quite a limited feature set because of the cost. With the
VentureVoIP PABX, you receive all of the same functions and features of
the enterprise system.

The main difference we find with the larger businesses we work with is
that they have extensive custom software in place with which integration
could be a real benefit. While no two businesses run the same sets of
software, we pride ourselves on the ability to integrate with any system
that there is an API available for, and are also able to look at systems
for which nobody has any information.
The second most important thing is that the system no matter what size
should always be running. The larger that a system is, the more business
could be lost in the event of a hardware failure. In order to combat this
effect, VentureVoIP is able to set up custom clusters based on the
VentureVoIP exchange servers. Hot standby servers and geographically
distributed systems can be set up to get the best fault tolerance possible
.
We also recognise that everyone does business in different ways and that
custom development will normally be required. We provide competitive
rates and are able to develop in many different languages.
